Jose studied urban design because of him. Architecture school in Chile first, summa cum laude with a perfect final grade, then Berkeley on a fellowship.

At Google he led Cubert, a modular building system that earned a US patent and a story in The New York Times. He also forecast demand for 49 cafes serving 60,000 meals a day.

He ran real estate at Off The Grid until July 2026, taking it from 2 to 30+ locations on a model he built. The deals were with Boston Properties, Jamestown, Wilson Meany and Tidewater.

He co-founded Hitmap, which does that ranking for everyone else. Subway runs 3,000+ stores through it and opens one every five days.

In Chile he ran a shared value program with Antofagasta Minerals for 5,000 workers. CNN covered it. He also built a community kitchen from nothing to $4M a year.

His Web3 conservation platform in Patagonia, the first in Latin America, won the CLabs Regenerative Finance Award. Five winners out of 356 applicants from 65 countries.

He won the Berkeley Founders Program pitch competition against 100+ startups, went through Berkeley SkyDeck, and taught Alternative Urban Futures at San Francisco State.
